Bio

I was born in Stuttgart, Germany to an English teacher and an Artist, and from my earliest age I was immersed in music; 4th grade violin lessons and 6th grade saxophone lessons. In my teen years I taught myself to play piano and then bought a second hand guitar. Music has been a good friend.

I didn’t start making songs of my own until I saw Prince perform 1999 back in the 80’s. I was blown away! Since then I’ve always had a guitar and synthesizer at my side. Following those early years my musical tastes grew to include such power houses as Depeche Mode, Van Halen, Sting and the venerable Mozart.

Today I practice and record in my basement studio that I call Glade of Utopia / GoU, using gear I’ve picked up along the way. All of my musical ideas are first worked out on guitar or keyboard, and then recorded into my computer at 24 bit. The songs are also mixed at GoU.

My music is a mixture of old and new styles, leaning into the electro-alternative genre. It incorporates an equal mix of vocals, guitar, synth, bass and electronic drums. Song writing also plays a crucial roll with each composition as I attempt to marry words to music.

Well, that’s enough about me. Many thanks for stopping by and drop me a line if you have any questions or comments.

All the best,
Reggie
