I have something to say to you
I can say it only once
There is no longer a place for you
In what remains of my heart

All the times that you lied to me
All the times you did me wrong
You thought I was some kind of weak thing
But in your arrogance
You missed the fact that I was strong

You tried to kick me around
I was the ant on the ground
Running from the heat of your magna-glass
Being drowned to death inside a vat

From all the deaths you gave to me
I did not break I did not concede
You tried to get the best of me
And now I face the rubber tree

Flat on my back is where you kept me
On your belly is where you should be
Slinking around like a worm in the ground
Trying not to be found
Where you shouldn’t be

I have to escape, gotta get away
I gotta break your chain
The powers welling up in me
Now watch as I move the rubber tree

You’re so bright
I never knew anyone that blinded me before
In my deepest night
I see the flame that you have burning inside
Yeah

You are my sun
You are my mountain top
You are my ocean
You are my lemon drop
Though I don’t like sweets
But it’s you I need
Yeah

I’m so cruel
I hop from embers to remember your fire
And I’ll use any tool
The convection of your flame
It warms me immensely
Yeah

You are perfection
Where I am flawed
You are a feline
That’s been declawed
Though you bite
And child you bite

Yeah
I never wanted this
We each have a flame
And yours burns within me
It’s my life’s blood
Don’t take it away

I’m so predictable
You knew I’d come back thought you sent me
Far down in a hole
Where I learned to crawl, walk and run
And your flame has me stumbling
Back to you

Pretty
Pretty
Pretty
You are so alluring
Heavy is the way I feel around you
I can’t lift my face
I can’t lift my words to say
How pretty

I
I
I can’t help but glare
I can only stare at
How pretty

You were made for me

Telling me something
Making it clear
All without having said one word
What you perfume I feel

Staring at your parasol
I hear the music play
Dancing to the symphony
The others start to sway

But none are as beautiful
As you appear to me
I’m helpless to resist you
Because you are so pretty
Pretty

Lovely
Mesmerizing
Is what you are to me
Keeping me lofty
Here above the dream

And I dream of you
Beckoning to me
Where I come to you
Across a floral sea

Just to hover above you
As if I were a bee
And with my chance today
I’d find my voice and finally say
How pretty

Look at how you abuse me
Why are you so mean to me
I did nothing
I did nothing

Why do I only see your teeth
When you shout at me
For no reason
No reason at all

Haven’t I been the one to magnify
All the beauty that resides
In anything and everything
That means something to you

Am I not the one you used to
Call your little stinkbug
And made love to when you wanted to
And made your body feel so much like goo

When I spread my wings
It’s your desire to loose my dreams
So unearthly
To anchor me

And when I try to speak my peace
You deafen up religiously
It’s unholy
To place me below

What have I done
To cause so much pain and disheartening
To fling your soul some miles from me
To flounder on an ever graying sea

The way I’ve charted back to me
Has been blocked artfully
By this wall faintly disguised
To keep you safe and seal me from your eyes

Why are you here
Is there something that you fear
The world maybe
Or life perhaps

You never talk to me
What am I not supposed to see
I don’t know the reason
Because there’s no reason at all

There’s nothing left for me
Except to slip away quietly
Into the night while you’re fast asleep
And dreaming of the things that are not me

I’ll just kiss you on the forehead
And dry my tears upon the sheets
And lock the door, leaving the key
And disappear into the cold dark streets

Get off the ground
Let me see your pretty face
Please don’t turn away
I’m not the one to fear

My little one
You’ve been on the run
This kind of life cannot be fun
Always in a hurry

Come with me
I can show you to the safety
That you so need
Desperately

My little caterpillar

I’ve watched you struggle on the ground
I’ve seen you inch instead of bound
I know you dodge from under feet
And parry hungry teeth

Spin your own little web
And they’ll leave you for dead
Then you can become
What you truly are

You’re on top of me
And you’re killing me
Slowly but steady

Yeah you taste sweet
But too sweet for me
Because I know how deadly you can be

Horrid little thing
I wish that I could be more than a meal for your fangs
All I’ve ever known is the danger that you bring to me
Baby

I could kiss you
I could kill you
I could protect you
Or reveal you
To all of the ones that may give in to your wickedness
Lady

I know that I was weak
When you first preyed on me
Because of your beauty

Then I fell to my knees
Once you sank your teeth in me
And started in on your feast

I remember what was said
The first time that you crawled in my bed
You see, I was afraid but you said you’d be gentle
Baby

I could smash you
I could crash you
I could elate you
Or erase you
And never have to see your beautiful face
Baby

I could be more than
What you see before you
I could flower and make for you
The conditions you’re longing for

Still you find it necessary
To inflict the pain you do
How would it be if I turned the page
And gave your pain right back to you
Baby

I know that you will leave
When I no longer bleed
And you’ve taken all that you need

For every rise there’s a fall
And I know right now you must feel ten feet tall
But it won’t be long before you’re knocked off of your feet
Baby

I could love you
I could hate you
I could adorn you
Or desecrate you
To the point to where your soul will cry for mercy
Baby

What do you see
Your face has frozen broken

Are you sure that it’s real
The shadows on the wall

Was there nothing to hear
Slipping like a thief

Until it was near
Moments within reach

A rush and its compulsory
The cold flash of insensitivity
The waves of resignation in the air

Ladybug be brave

Why have you come here
To this place of danger
I’ve tried to warn you
I’m not that helpful stranger

You’re just the thing on which I feed
My hungers burning within me
No I don’t do this out of greed
But to be, my motive is necessity

Do you not fear
Your most certain end
And the thought of me
Tearing at your skin

Have you considered one thing
All these shells that lay about me
Once approached me just like thee
Now they’re mostly scenery

Come here
Come here
Let me put my arms around you
Let me take your fears away from you
Just let me hold you
Come here
Come here
I’ll do anything and everything
Let me touch your pain
Let me tear you apart

Are you still here
Don’t you sense the danger
I’m sure I warned you
I’m not that beautiful stranger

So I’ll approach you slowly
So you can weigh this carefully
Because when I dine I plan to feast
So if you want to live then get away from me
